Before his management roles, Roland was a systems and applications programmer, and a systems engineer. Roland's other passion is volunteering as the National Tournament Director for the National Catholic Forensics League, and the Secretary/Treasurer of the local Washington Arlington Catholic Forensics League. These leagues provide competition for high school speech and debate teams. Roland is married, with two boys.
