Pierre Demonsant is the CEO and Founder of Planisware. Early on in his career at Thales IS, within the information systems subsidiary called Syseca, Pierre recognized the frustration that matrix organizations undergo when attempting to organize complex work spanning multiple work streams. In 1992, he began to develop project planning software thatwould be able to support intricate networks of dependencies and constraints across business units and teams. This software would later be adopted by Arianespace and EDF. Following his early success, Pierre incorporated a spin-off of Thales called Planisware in 1996, signing multi-national pharmaceutical giant, Sanofi as Planisware’s first client. Today, Planisware serves over 275 organizations across 4 continents. Pierre continues to oversee the company’s strategy and international expansion and sits on the board of several French-based software companies.
