Sue Bostrom

Sue Bostrom serves on the board of directors of the following public companies: ServiceNow, Nutanix,, Anaplan and Cadence Design Systems. She also serves on the boards of 3 private companies: Druva, cloud data management SaaS, GitLab, application provider for the complete DevOps lifecycle, and Outreach, a sales engagement platform. Sue was on the boards of Marketo and Anaplan through their IPO processes. She also served on the boards of Apttus and Spredfast prior to their acquisitions by private equity firms. Sue is the former EVP and chief marketing officer at Cisco Systems. With almost 14 years at the company in a variety of roles, she was responsible for developing and communicating Cisco’s vision and strategy through positioning, branding, advertising, and product marketing. Sue also had responsibility for Cisco’s Worldwide Government Affairs and Small Business Council. Prior to her role as Cisco’s CMO, Sue built and led the Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG), bringing vertical expertise and Internet business best practices to global Fortune 500 companies and heads of state. In addition, she served as the executive sponsor of the Women’s Initiative at Cisco. Previously, Sue held leadership positions at FTP Software and National Semiconductor. She also served for seven years at McKinsey & Company as a leader in the electronics practice. Sue serves on the board of Stanford Children's Health (chairing the IT Committee). She was formerly on the Stanford Medicine Advisory Council, the advisory board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and Georgetown University’s board of directors. Ms. Bostrom received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and served on its Management and Advisory Boards. She received a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Illinois, graduating as a Bronze Tablet Scholar.
