Rod Johnson is co-founder and CEO of Atomist, which is transforming software delivery. He is a developer (mainly in Java, Scala and increasingly TypeScript), author and investor. Rod is the creator of Java’s Spring Framework and was co-founder and CEO of SpringSource. Following the acquisition of SpringSource by VMware in 2009, Rod served as SVP,Application Platform at VMware. Rod is the author of several popular and influential books on Java and Java EE, including Expert One-on-One J2EE Design and Development and J2EE without EJB (with Juergen Hoeller). He sits on the board of three prominent open source companies besides Atomist: Neo Technology, Meteor, and Hazelcast.
