Sterling founded Car IQ after recognizing the lack of innovation and consistency within the connected car space, specifically around automotive payment solutions. He saw an opportunity for cars to connectand pay for their own services autonomously, removing the need for credit cards in vehicle service and payment workflows at the vehicle level. Prior to Car IQ Sterling founded and was the CEO of Autonet Mobile, an intelligent vehicle telematics and mobile App provider that was the first company to connect the car to mobility platforms. Customers and partnerships included several of the largest Automotive OEM's and Tier 1 Suppliers and wireless providers such as Fiat Chrysler Automobile, General Motors (Chevy, Cadillac and GM Fleet), Maserati, Subaru, along with Verizon, AT&T and Lear Corp. Sterling has more than 25 years of automotive experience in both racing and technology. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the United States Auto Club and an adviser to several early stage companies.
