Entrepreneurial creativity. Passion. Success. These are the qualities that have driven David’s success throughout his career. For the past 12 years David has been a pioneer in the digital content industry. Since January 2000 his passion for travel, adventure and stunning visual content has propelled VRX Studios to the forefront of the content industry and won the company numerous awards along the way. David began his business career in Commercial Banking with the Bank of Nova Scotia where worked with a wide range of companies. In 1998 he left Scotia Bank to take the helm of DNA Media Inc, a world renowned multimedia production company. In December 1999, David successfully approached Bright Spark Labs, a Toronto based venture fund, to finance “Real World Images”, the first micro stock images site. One month later, in January 2000, David, raised $1.5 million dollars from Cambridge Ventures Ltd., a TSX listed company, to found VRX Studios Inc. For the first part of 2000, David ran both companies from Toronto, Canada, but by mid June of that year he decided to acquire Cambridge Ventures and devote 100% of his time to VRX Studios. In early 2001 David completed the acquisition and renamed Cambridge Ventures to VRX Worldwide Inc. Today, David is the President, CEO, and Chairman of VRX Worldwide Inc. (TSX-V:VRW), the parent company of VRX Studios Inc. David earned an Economics degree from the University of British Columbia and studied International Business at the University of Copenhagen. When not providing dynamic leadership in the office, he sits on the Board of Directors of the BC Lion’s Society and is an active member of the EO.
