SecurityScorecard's primary direct competitor is BitSight. Yampolskiy stated in the October 2021 interview that BitSight was on track to generate approximately $100 million in ARR while growing at roughly 20 percent, compared to SecurityScorecard's 50-plus percent growth rate. These figures are Yampolskiy's characterization of a competitor and are not BitSight-confirmed figures. Yampolskiy also stated that BitSight had raised approximately $400 million in total funding to reach that ARR level, which he contrasted with SecurityScorecard's $290 million raised at a comparable revenue scale.

Yampolskiy said SecurityScorecard wins approximately 70 percent of head-to-head bake-offs against BitSight. He attributed the win rate to broader product value, including workflow automation, the Atlas inside-out component, and the Integrate 360 marketplace, and characterized BitSight as more sales-and-marketing driven rather than customer-value driven. Other smaller competitors exist in the security ratings space but were not named and are rarely encountered in competitive bake-offs, according to Yampolskiy. KnowBe4 and Malwarebytes were mentioned by the host as cybersecurity companies but Yampolskiy clarified SecurityScorecard does not compete with them.
