He left the lab early and started his career in the cardiovascular & cardiac surgery product teams at Sanofi and Medtronic. In a business development role in a venture builder, he helped to launch several biomedical start-ups. He then founded VersaFleet by serendipity, creating a powerful SaaS transport management system while actually trying to invent a medical device. Shamir holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Supply Chain Management from National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Engineering. He was awarded 'Supply Chain Professional of the Year 2019' (Supply Chain Asia); named by Prestige in its ‘40 under 40’ list; is a Spirit of Enterprise Honouree (2017); was awarded ‘Youth Entrepreneur of the Year 2016’ (SMCCI); recognized by PM Lee in his 2017 New Year message; and serves on several national committees, including the CPF Board.
