As I reflect on current times - I am wondering about the legacy from these times... what will we keep What does the future of work look like next year 3 years As a CHRO - I am excited that during disruptive times - we have the opportunity to positively disrupt our talent practices. We have permission in fact are being asked to be more agile strategic and keep the human fully in the middle of what we do. During COVID - Many have adapted to working from home.. navigating home schoolzoom hybrid education... we are virtually inviting our co-workers and perhaps our customers into our home as we conduct video meetings... Some are craving the workplace - to be in person ... Many employees have moved - to be closer to family friends and support networks. Some may not move back. We are all making choices to care for self family and work. Many companies are giving their employees choice on where to work even post COVID. This shift will be felt across the talent market - opening up doors to a broader more diverse pool of talent. For me Ive been blessed to be able to shelter at home during COVID to be able to support my family and our employees their families in compassionate ways. Ive learned a ton. Also - as talent practitioners we are collaborating across industries and even with competitors - to crowdsource the best ways to keep everyone safe healthy and supported during these unique times. I believe we should not focus on the war on talent but rather compete on our products and services. Thank you to EVERYONE for leading with compassion. Thank you to all of the front line workers that work endlessly to keep us safe and healthy. You are amazing As we continue to navigate these uncertain times - I am wishing everyone good health be well.
