Omnisend is a marketing automation platform founded in 2014 and headquartered in Lithuania, serving online retailers with email, SMS, and web push notification tools. Co-Founder and CEO Rytis Lauris disclosed at a September 2024 conference that the company had reached approximately $50 million in annual recurring revenue, built without venture capital backing. Omnisend competes directly with Klaviyo and Mailchimp in the ecommerce email marketing segment, while also contending for keyword rankings against larger players such as HubSpot and Marketo. The company began investing in SEO around 2018, roughly four years after its founding, and has since built an organic content operation that Lauris described as a primary growth driver alongside agency and affiliate partnerships. The SEO program is run by an internal team of five people supported by freelance writers and boutique link-building agencies. By 2024 the company had accumulated approximately 100,000 backlinks and 11,000 unique referring domains, including citations from Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, and CNN.
