In 1994, he started Information Fusion Pte Ltd. an internet based logistics software company. Nurturing the Company from a start-up to one of the fastest growing e-Business Solutions Provider, he steered the company towards realising its vision, to be a world-class player in Value Chain Integration. In 2003, he moved on to be the CTO of Comex Frontier Pte Ltd. There he managed its range of Supply Chain Execution software, taking it from predominantly a local player into an Asia Pacific-wide product company. In 2005, Comex was acquired by Four Soft Ltd, a listed company based out of India. Towards the end of 2006, working in Four Soft has broaden my perspective as to how software products are successfully commercialized globally. He then decided to devote his efforts in helping Singapore based technology companies commercialize their products and grow their markets globally. To that end, he joined A*STAR Singapore, a government funded organization. There, he worked in the commercialization arm whose charter is to identify promising technologies created by research institutes under A*STAR. This includes analysing the strength of the IPs and working with companies to commercialise the technologies. Taking technologies commercialisation to the next level, he was motivated to move into venture capital and private equity. In Oct 2007, he joined the National University of Singapore (NUS) to re-boot its venture capital arm to create globally competitive technology based companies. Since Jun 2008, he worked with early stage venture funds to actively mentor and advice high growth early stage companies in the digital media industry to bring them to the next level of their growth. In May 2011, several media industry veterans and he started a new media startup aSpecial Media.
