hello everyone my guest today is stanislav petrov he is the ceo and founder of simvoli responsible for everything that has to do with ui ux and design he started as a freelance designer but soon realized that he has to do something on his own he's trying to disrupt the way people build sites and grow their business on the lines dan you're ready to take us to the top yeah of course all right what's the company doing how do you guys make money fine yeah so we are uh so we started as a website builder but uh recently we kind of switched to being a like a web platform where people are not only built websites but you can build any landing page funnels now online stores and we're now preparing a lot more things such as serums and stuff like that too to enable any business to be able to grow online a lot easier and what do people pay on average per month for this um so it really depends it starts from anywhere from 12 up to 129 a month depending on the plan so the average is probably like 20 bucks a month yeah yeah i guess well a little bit less the new class are recently introduced and the other thing is the white level which is the biggest thing at the moment it is is generating generating us a lot of customers and yeah what year did you found the company in uh we started in 2016. the beginning of 2016 we launched the product as a beta it has been in development like two years before that and how many customers have you scaled to today uh well it depends so we have like 370 around table partners we have like 650 regular customers on on symbol itself [Music] customers are obviously a lot more than that so can i i mean can i take 650 times 17 bucks a month you're doing about 11 grand a month right now in sales uh a little bit less for the for the dust for for simply uh like i said the white level is what is the generating is the most is it just white it's white label assembly correct yes it's a hundred percent white label where uh our partners are growing their own sas uh builder yeah for any type of industry so they have their own customers uh on their subscription base and we uh we get revenue from each of their customers so what if it's not if it's including the white label revenue what are you doing right now per month total yeah so so the the it's around 34 uh thousand mr and where were you a year ago yeah a year ago we were doing less than uh 2k so yeah this year has been really that's that's so good growth how did how did you get these you know your first 10 customers well the first thing customers i guess it was a kind of hustle um trying to on any any kind of a sas type of uh of a blocking website to promote be specific name one you used early to get your first 10 customers well i think what was better better lists i think was one of them that we tried to submit to spell it i don't know better better list i'm not sure spell it uh beta b t a uh l-i-s-t okay better list i think so i'll show you blog what did you do on there how did that get you customers i think we just submitted to a lot of uh sas not just sas but like any kind of uh was it like a directory for companies and then we started with the adwords because we thought that you know just by doing some adwords we will get some really nice revenue but our everything was you know so bad at the beginning all the onboarding was was bad all the ads or the landing pages that we did so so when you look at i mean when you're looking at when you're spending ads to get customers what's your fully weighted cac to get a new 17 a month account at the moment to be honest uh we do not spend almost anything uh we grow purely or organic but now preparing some really nice campaigns so the moment we spent very very little only for white label what's your team size today uh the moment we have five and how many of them are marketing and sales uh so it is just me at the moment okay and where are they where's everyone based uh we're we're located in bulgaria we're a bulgarian company survey is here because we're looking [Music] and stan have you bootstrapped the company or raised capital yeah it's absolutely bootstrapped from the beginning that's nice so you're operating breakeven today are profitable oh yeah profitable four more like five grand a month 10 grand a month how profitable uh we have really high margins uh i'd say like like 85 that's gross margin i imagine what's net margin yeah well after paying taxes and stuff like that i guess around 70. okay so you're taking if you're gonna do 34 000 bucks a month top line you're saying you'll take twenty eight thousand dollars to the bottom line yeah correct where do you spend that money or you just send the bank account yeah that's the issue at the moment it's sitting so that's why we want to uh to do something some campaigns some really nice marketing because i think we have one of the best uh products on the market and we just want to push it to so that anybody what's your turn uh for white level it's very low for white level partners but it is only been a year now uh so which slows them five percent for the the simply platform itself it's so it's around seven and a half seven point five percent logo turn per month yeah yeah uh yeah okay term per year that's that's not bad um um it's good okay how have you how it well just to be clear for this price point that churn is extremely low i mean that's less than one percent revenue churn per month um how have you kept it that low i mean website builders wix weebly squarespace they all have higher churn than that um i'm not sure i mean i thought that that's like a industry like like average uh well i mean we're trying to do like we first of all we have live chat maybe that's helps a lot because we do a personal care to each customer i think the big companies doesn't provide like really no no they they do that too i mean all of them have like one or two percent monthly churn which is 12 annual churn you're at 7.5 so either you're measuring that differently than they're measuring it or you're doing something unique that you don't realize you're doing well well at the moment we're like like you see we're more boutique we don't have that much customer just yet we're now trying to expand to get more um so we can do like really good care to each customer itself um so they're really you know committed and they really love the product i guess the they must like the product better it's i mean i i guess that's one of the reasons maybe um all right there very good stan let's uh let's wrap up here with the famous five number one what's your favorite business book um i mean i'm not mean to reading that much books in general just some articles and okay we'll skip that one number two is there a ceo you're following or studying um i really enjoy you on and watch us number three what's your favorite online tool uh i'd say slack number four how many hours of sleep do you get every night um six and a half so and what's your situation married single kids single okay and how old are you um i'm thirteen third i'm turning 30 in two months very good exciting so last question what do you wish your 20 year old self knew um that's i don't know um just i mean just just just do what you love to do and just design it and do all the things that you have to do guys do what you love stan launched simvoli back in 2016 it's a website builder oh you know over 650 customers north of 20 bucks a month each doing 34 grand per month in revenue right now less than 7.5 percent logo turn per year which is obviously very low for this kind of price point in the smb space team of five in bulgaria bootstrapped profiting about let's call it 70 to the bottom line not not gross but actually bottom line every single month so healthy margins there as they look to scale and grow stan thanks for taking us to the top thank you as well nathan
