Kevin has over 50 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and conferences, with over 1000 citations and is on the Programme Committee for the International Conference on Recommender Systems. Kevin has been working on academic-industry collaborations and commercialisation activities for several years and completed projects with the likes of Skillpages, Boxever and theJournal.ie before concentrating on his own commercialisation activities. He founded Aficionado Technologies in 2014, which provides resource management and showcasing solutions for academic institutions and research organisations, through machine learning and data analytics techniques. Through a software consulting vehicle called A-Star Labs, Kevin and his team offered consulting services to a number of companies, offering solution architecture, software development, artificial intelligence and user interaction advice. In 2016, he co-founded RecommenderX, a software company providing analytics and AI platforms to large organisations and MNCs. In RecommenderX, Kevin utilises his experience and research capabilities to design, develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies for the enterprise market.
