Thompson has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Red Hat, Inc., an enterprise software company. A Sooners fan through and through, Thompson holds a B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. He also serves as a board member for SolarWinds, Instructure, a publicly-traded educational technology firm, and Blackline, a financial automation software provider. Thompson sits on the Board of Trustees for Whitworth University, his daughter’s alma mater. And, as part of his personal commitment to fostering health and wellness through sports and to positively impacting the lives of children, Thompson owns and operates Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy in Austin, TX.
