George Hagerman is Founder and Chairman of Cachematrix. He has had a distinguished 30+ year career in the institutional money funds business. Prior to founding Cachematrix, George led money fund sales, marketing and distribution efforts for The Boston Company, Fidelity Investments, Concord Financial, Lehman Brothers, CS First Boston, and Janus. When George began his career at The Boston Company, an executive management rotational training program exposed him to all facets of management in the company. Ultimately, he joined the Mutual Funds division, responsible for supporting an online IRA Investment Management System sold to Trust Departments. When George moved to Fidelity, he expanded his scope to sales in the Corporate Services division, selling institutional market funds and 401k plans. George continued rounding out his career at Concord Financial, the distributor of Bank of America funds, where he handled sales and distribution of money market funds in the Western Region. Before joining Janus, George led money fund sales to corporations and trust departments with CS First Boston, in the West Coast. In 1994, George developed the distribution platform for the Janus institutional money market funds, creating a suite of institutional money market funds from inception that grew to more than $22 billion in assets. In addition, he led the group's marketing, customer service, and client retention programs. George left Janus in 2003 to fulfill the unique needs of institutional money market investors by providing a revolutionary online trading platform that consolidates comprehensive analysis, online trading and account management for a wide array of top-performing money market funds and fixed income securities all in one website--Cachematrix.
