John Tobin is the CEO of Orbis MES Ltd. With over 25 years’ experience in the deployment of MES systems in the Food and Beverage industries, John has extensive experience and knowledge in this area. His experience ranges for the automation of production processes on SCADA systems, distributed control systems and the specification, design and implementation of corporate MES strategies. John regularly provides MES consultancy for Food and Beverage companies including Diageo, Glanbia, Baileys and Baxter. He has led the initiative by Orbis MES to develop the area of Zero Loss Manufacturing for Food and Beverages. John holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland. He has presented at a number of international conferences for MESA, ISA, WBF, and Aspentech and has co-authored various publications for industrial journals.
