My name is Johnny Warström, and I am the CEO and co-founder of Mentimeter, a Stockholm-based startup which, through an interactive software platform, makes meetings more enjoyable, engaging and productive. We launched the company in 2014 and we were profitable two years later. We are now 55 colleagues, with over 40 million users across 160 countries, organizations including Microsoft and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are using Mentimeter in their meetings and presentations. In 2018, Mentimeter was recognized by The Next Web as the fastest-growing startup in Sweden, a country renowned for its world-class startup scene (other successes include Spotify, Mojang, Skype, and Klarna). Prior to Mentimeter, I co-founded two companies, worked for an independent firm which provided consultancy to Ericsson, H&M, and the Swedish National Bank, and joined telecommunication group Telenor working on Global Business Development within IoT. Outside of Mentimeter, I volunteered for NGO, ‘Engineers Without Borders’, working on projects in Bolivia and Tanzania.
