Eco-friendly Colombian entrepreneur Octavio Torres Quintana is the founder of Valopes, tech base company focus on digitizing the waste industry in order to decouple waste from the economy. Having obtained his undergraduate degree in Bogot√° at the Universidad de Los Andes, Mr. Quintana went on to study in China, Norway NTNU, and MIT. He is specialized in sustainability and renewable energies, which he combines with a socially responsible entrepreneurial model. His current business focuses on enabling companies to digitalize their waste information while gaining traceability and financial accountability. As starting point to avoid final disposition of valuable materials, through a digital suite of information sharing products, and consultancy services aimed at the creation of a sustainable business model.
