Before founding ModuleQ, he received a PhD from Harvard in Information, Technology & Management, a joint program spanning Business and Computer Science. His dissertation focused on the Digital Transformation of business. After graduation, he apprenticed himself to the CIO of Shinsei Bank to study enterprise software architecture. Prior to Harvard, he was an associate in the Tokyo and San Francisco offices of The Boston Consulting Group.heI have a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University, where He was advised by AI pioneer and Turing Award recipient Professor Edward Feigenbaum. He speak fluent Japanese and have lived in Kanazawa, Shizuoka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. He is a coauthor with Professor Feigenbaum of The Japanese Entrepreneur: Making the Desert Bloom, a book describing the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in Japan.
