Hello I m Kristy West an Applied Improv Facilitator Learning Experience Designer and Founder of BraveSpace an LLC that I founded offering skill building and team development using experiential learning methods like improvisation and gamification to design and facilitate engaging training programs. Today s complex and evolving work landscape demands people who can adapt and collaborate in the moment. The work I do is helping people practice these skills so that they can easily tap into and access them in the moments that matter the most in their work. My learning design process starts with a thorough and deep needs analysis uncovering the barriers limitations and challenges. I believe a learning design is a solution to removing hurdles solving problems and adding new approaches processes behaviors and attitudes. I started studying and performing improvisation for stage almost two decades ago. What makes my approach and talent so unique is that I was able to marry my passion for the art of improv with my passion creating thriving cultures and climates so that people can be their best self at work. I am passionate about how the methodology is applied to work and driving change creativity and innovation in organizations. It is my belief that one must be active in the practice of something to effectively teach others how to do it. I think it s the why it matters part that I can communicate more than anything and that is what people are most interested in when learning something new.
