I m co-founding Managing Director of Storm Ventures a VC firm investing in tech and SaaS start-ups. I m also co-author of the book series Survival to Thrival Building the Enterprise Startup. My second book Change or Be Changed was released in July 2019 and addresses the silent worry of many tech entrepreneurs could my company outgrow me. The first book is called The Company Journey and introduces the concept of a term I call Go-To-Market Fit- - the key to unlocking growth. The aim of my books is to demystify building enterprise start-ups and leaders. I wrote them to help entrepreneurs succeed now anticipate what happens next and to let them know that they are not alone. At Storm Ventures I was founding CEO and investor in Airespace which was later sold to Cisco for 450m. I ve also invested and served on the boards of Aptrinsic Gainsight Berkana Qualcomm Com2uS Korean IPO EchoSign Adobe Marketo IPOVista RallyTeam Workday Sierra Monolithics Semtech Silego Dialog and Sourceclear CA Technologies and more. Now I work with the Storm investments including AirPR BlueShift Cloudwords Engagio Haegin LogicHub MobileIron IPO Modo Labs Sendoso Talkdesk Tekion and Trustar. As an applied math major and an early career as an attorney I attribute my success in investing to my ability to pattern-match for success and failure. I compare company situations to my extensive experience as an investor to understand the drivers and create and fit a model for success. I m a models sort of guy.
