Roland is an innovative thinker and doer, enjoying building new businesses. He gained experiences in business development, key account and general management as well as sales. He believes that one of the key factors to success is to find a good balance between long term thinking (vision) and pragmatic execution. Roland co-founded and has been driving the (business) development activities at Leopoly, a technology start up and service provider offering break through solutions to organizations and individuals utilizing 3D and VR technologies. Besides this, he currently helps building the business leg of 5-Words, a data management and presentation tool company. Prior to that, Roland was involved at Leonar3Do International's leadership team in marketing and business development position, and he was a key member of organizing and building TEDxDanubia event series, bringing top innovators, ideas and people together. Roland is an Alumni at Singularity University. Before 2010, Roland was active in the tourism industry. He was managing director of ITU Triathlon World Championship (including masters competition), and Walkers Guide tour guide app company. He worked on tourism and destination development projects both as a consultant and as decision maker as a public servant, and initiated a nation wide destination management system promoting public – private cooperation.
