General Dynamics, a Fortune 100 company, has served the U.S. government for more than 50 years. With the evolution of information technology (IT) transforming military operations, General Dynamics has also transformed. FC Business Systems, Inc. (FCBS) joined the company in 2006, adding significant credentials in enterprise network services, information assurance and security, network engineering, and software application development and integration. That same year, General Dynamics Network Systems acquired Anteon, further expanding its systems integration, strategy and program management, systems engineering, operations services, simulation, and training solutions. In 2008, General Dynamics Information Technology purchased ViPS, Inc. from HLTH Corporation. This was followed by the 2011 acquisition of Vangent Holding Corp., parent company of Vangent, Inc., a leader in healthcare IT and business systems for federal agencies. These acquisitions, along with General Dynamics Information Technology’s 30 years in the healthcare IT market, positioned the company as a Tier 1-level business capable of meeting large-scale customer requirements in high-priority markets. Also in 2011, the company acquired Network Connectivity Solutions, Corp. (NETCONN), enhancing its services in enterprise solutions and cloud computing for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
